in this section of shammar.net, I 'll be honored to give you a little history for the greatest and powerfull tribe in middle east it's SHAMMAR TRIBLE.
even though I tried to give alittle briefing of our history .. I feel some how I did not cover the basic head line of our history, because of the huge events that take places in that history AND too many sub tribe that has it own evens and histories.
SO I will start from the capital city for shammar trible " hail city ".
how ever , I'll give you guide line for shammar tribe:
1. they came from TAI tribe, and they were in yemen centuries ago.
2.they settled down in samaira ( near to hail city north saudia arabia), after that , the tribe took over most middle and north saudia arabia , and in the golden age the tribe ruled middle ,north , east saidia and southern IRAQ and also up to north of JORDAN. and now a day they  still liveing it those location relatively.
3. shammar tribe , it has 3 main sub-tribes :
   a. abdah tribe lives in and arround hial city.
   b. zoba'a trible lives in southern of IRAQ and north of JORDAN and some small banches lives north SA.( they move to IRAQ after a battle between them and bin saud with alwahabi  movment..and after the death of zoba chief's son before the battle even started . the chief " alzarba "  pull over the tribe toward southern of IRAQ.
   c. aslam tribe lives in east of hial city and north SA.

TRIBES IN HAIYEL ( HAIL ) CITY

in the ancient times ..the tribe of " TAI BIN ADAD " lived in haiyel , It was agreat tribe that emannes from " KAHTAN ", a trive that referred to qahtan . It branches into manay selts some of which are :
banu jedailah , which is the parent tribe . they (are) jundub ,and haur ( defined by their maother ).
then . banu (family ) rama'an ,banu jada'a bin raman,altha'alib , and banu taim who were called " lights of darkness " , banu-alwan , banu zanmah bin amr . banu lam bin amr , banu ashna'a bn amr , banu aneed , banu atoud , banu frair , banu silsilah, banu daghash ,banu nabhan bin amr , banu waiyel , banu almashar , banu hathmah bin annab , banu simbas , banu shamji ,banu bin amr, banu naiyel,banu almashar,banu  alsamit, banu dolan, banu saifi  who from the banu shammar deslend, those whose parentage refer to shammar bin abd jethaimah bin tha'alabah bin salaman bin tha'al bin amr bin alghawth bin tai(aset of TAI0 from whom ghais bin shammar was born - he was the one that poet's mrau alqais "mentioned in his poem when he said " AMI GOING TO REACH THE HOME OF QIAS BIN SHAMMAR" .
Also , related to them ALJARNFASH( a poet ) bin abdu bin emrau al qais bin zid ibn abd redha bin jethaimah bin habee bin emrau shammar who was captivated by aldailam tribe.

from where shammar tribe comes from ?

the land of " tai ", to whom shammar was related in the country of YEMEN ( south saidia arabia ).
they immagrated from yemen upon theimmigration of al azd tribe . ( cause that .. the flood of ma'rib dam , and that inundation all the tribe area ).
then they setiled in "sumaira" and "faid " ( close to hail city now a days .. arround 60km to the east) in the surroundinges of BANU ASAD TRIBE.
They settled down , later after , they inherted the land of banu asad which was beyond alkarakh whech was an area of a waste land.
also, they wherited  nad lived in the land of " tamim" ( a tribe ) in the area between albasrah, alkoufah and yamamah.
in addition. they inherited the lands next to " wadi al qura'.
 in general , they  covered and filled the flats and mountains in HIJAZ district alsham (syria).iraq, then were forced to vacate south palestine.

the following was mentioned in " the reibes ancestry" by author alsaiyed muez aldier moh'd almahdi alhusaini , famous as " alqezweeni" who died in year 1300h " ( shammar is an arab tribe of many selts. its encestry trace back to shammar ze aljanaw, from " qahtan" they were acailable in " najd" , some in iraq and almausil up to sinjar. it seems that they deccend from shammar bara'ash bin efraigish bin abiraha ze almanar , who was one of the kings of " altabaiyah" from yemen. he was named shammar bara'ash because of shaking that his had. he moved to wards iraq , then to china , and reached al sind city and destroyed it, for this reasom it was named " shammar kand"  means shammar destroued it. then was rebuilt and named " shammar qand " .
IT HAS NOT BEEN PROVER IN REFERENCES THAT THE AUTHOR WAS RIGHT - THIS HAS BEEN MENTIONED AS AN UNDERSTANDING OF VIEW POINT OF THE OTHER AND NOT NECESSARILY AGREEING WITH HIM. IT IS EVIDENT IN THE REFERENCES AND SUPPORTED BY VIEW POINTS OF THE OLD PEOPLE THAT BEFORE THE WRITING OF " ALGEZEENI" THAT " SHAMMAR" IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CLANS OF THE " QAHTANI TAI".
SINCE EARLY TIMES IT BECAME INDEPENDENT IN ITS PARENTAGE , AND DWELLED IN MOUNTAINS ,AJA AND SALMA FOR ALONG TIME .
IN THE BEGINING OF THE TWELVETH CENTURY(H) PART OF IT MOVED TO IRAQ. SOME OF THEIR EMIRS WERE ALJARBA AND IBN HASSAN.

espousing islam

prophet mohammed ( may peace and prayer be upon him) in the year 09h tasked , his cousin who is also , a companion , ali bin abi talib acconpanied by a hundred and fifty of the followers ( ansar ). he destroyed their ( TAI ) idol that was named ( ALFULUS ) this idol was available in najd and was being worshipped by the tribe of " TAI ".
   IN the year 09h , a deligation from " TAI " who was their chief. there, the prophet (pbuh) proposed to they and called them to espouse ISLAM. they espoused islam , and became proficient. the prophet (pbuh) commended them saying :
" any time one of the arab men reminds me of their grace , when a man of them comes to me I find his traits less than was said about him except ' zaid alkhail ' , then the prophet (pbuh) named ' zaid alkhair' instead of ' alkail' .
when the arab tribes apostatised from islam , TAI tribe adhered to islam , and faught under the leadership of " almuthanna " in iraq in the year 14h.
they also , supported ali bin abi talib in the year 36h.
